[Recommended Place for Botox/Fillers] Non-Surgical Procedures Provide Patients with a Quick and Easy Alternative

There are many people out there interested in plastic surgery who are afraid of surgery, or don't have the time needed for recovery.

Others are interested in certain procedures, such as Rhinoplasty, but are hesitant about going through with the actually surgery without knowing what they will look like after it is done.

Non-Surgical Procedures such as Botox and Fillers are an easy solution
for getting rid of wrinkles, adding volume to your face, and reducing the size of the jaw without any invasive procedure.

Many people are now requesting fillers for their nose and jaw so that they can see how their face will change prior to having larger and more permanent surgeries.

Today I will discuss the positive and negative aspects of receiving Botox, and Fillers.

What is Botox?

Botox is a type of toxin produced by bacteria, called Botulinum, and is usually found in canned food.

This toxin, when refined and injected, can paralyze the muscles to either reduce their size, or smooth out facial wrinkles.

Characteristics of Botox Treatment:

No Recovery Period

Simple Procedure
Quick Results without leaving any external marks
No anesthesia necessary
Chance for side effects minimum

Cases where Botox can be injected:

Facial Wrinkles (Crow's feet, Glabella, Forehead, Nose brige)
Square Jaw (Masticatory Muscles)

Facial Wrinkles:

Botox can effectively remove facial wrinkles, especially those made from movements by facial muscles.

A small amount of refined Botulinum toxin functions as a wrinkle remover by paralyzing the facial muscles.

Square Jaw:

When your square jaw is the result of overdeveloped masticatory muscles surrounding the teeth Botox injections can be used to paralyze the muscle in order to reduce their thickness and volume.  This procedure can create a leaner and smaller face.

Masticatory muscle - Self Diagnosis

You can do a Self Diagnosis by clenching your jaws and feeling the area beneath your ears.  Overdeveloped masticatory muscles form large, hard masses.

Treatment Notes:

After the procedure chewing may be a bit difficult, but this is only temporary.  Also, chewing gum can cause the muscle to redevelop.

What are Fillers?

Fillers, such as HA(hyaluronic acid), calcium, and collagen, are materials used to inflate depressions caused by wrinkles or acne scars.

They help to smooth out deep skin gaps made by nasolabial folds, and glabella wrinkles.

Fillers can also be used to add volume to depressed areas of the face.

Characteristics of Fillers:

No Recovery Period
Simple Procedure
Quick Results without leaving any external marks
No anesthesia necessary
Chance for side effects minimum

Cases where fillers can be used:

Forehead
Nose Bridge, Tip
Lower Eyelids
Nasolabial Folds, Cheeks
Lips
Chin

Botox and Fillers are a quick and easy solution for those seeking to get rid of wrinkles, add volume to their face, or even get rid of their square jaw.

Although Botox and Fillers are very simple procedures, the results are always temporary.

If you want to maintain the results it is important to have follow up procedures every year depending on the area that was injected.
